From 7 to 10 March Istanbul will host the largest in Turkey, the Eurasia Window, Glass & Door 2018.

After the acquisition of the Istanbul Window exhibition (its former name before 2014), the English-Turkish JV Reed Exhibition in 2015, the event was renamed into Eurasia Window, Glass, Door.

The exhibition is a platform for establishing business contacts with Turkish manufacturers, acquaintance with the latest achievements of the window industry.

Organizers expect in 2018 about 65 thousand visitors from more than a hundred countries. The previous event gathered about 61 thousand visitors from 97 countries.

The organizer is the Turkish company Reed Tüyap, formed in 2011 and conducting exhibitions in 39 countries around the world. The event will take place in the Tüyap exhibition center with an area of 120,000 m2 and is supported by the Turkish Association of Window and Door Industries (PÜKAD), the Association for the Quality Assurance of Window Manufacturers (PÜKAB) and the Association of Aluminum Industry Entrepreneurs (GALSİAD).

Within the framework of the exhibition there will be a conference Glass Performance Days (GPD) - forum of the glass industry. The conference will be held for the fourth time and will have a broader theme: from presentations of start-ups to innovative solutions.

The special guest of the forum will be the British architect Jan Richie, famous for using energy-efficient building solutions. He participated in the implementation of the project of glass facades of the Pyramid in the Louvre and glass mines on the external facade of the Museum of Modern Art of Queen Sofia in Madrid, was awarded the "Technoecology" awards (1999), "The largest glass palace in the world" (1997) and others.

The architect will share with the participants and guests of the conference his vision of the advantages and perspectives of "sustainable architecture" - a new direction in designing, seeking to minimize the negative impact of structures on the environment through energy efficiency and moderation in the use of materials.

Particular attention in the program of the forum is given to the design, application and processing of glass.

The expanded exposition of the exhibition in 2018 will be presented in the direction of accessories from aluminum for shower cabins, partitions, furniture, stairs.

Exhibitions are a way of attracting the attention of the global business community to the equipment industry and window components of Turkey and, at the same time, reflecting the state of the industry and trends. Devaluation of the lira in 2017 increased the competitiveness of Turkish goods in international markets and made the prices for equipment and components more attractive for Russian producers.

Russia has special significance for the Turkish market of window components. Two states are neighbors, which links the trade and tourist relations of countries. Among the trade partners of Russia, Turkey firmly holds the sixth place in terms of turnover.

According to the Federal Customs Service, trade between Russia and Turkey in January-November 2017 amounted to $ 19.3 billion, Russia exported goods to Turkey $ 16.3 billion, and imported from it - $ 3 billion. Turkey occupied 3.7% of Russia's foreign trade.

Closely linked and window markets of the two countries. Turkey in 2017 occupied about 20% of the market of fittings for windows and doors, has a stable share in the production of window profiles and seals. Equipment for the production of windows and double-glazed windows is popular among window and glass pack companies.

Organizers, as before, do everything possible for the comfortable stay of businessmen in the country and at the exhibition, so they provide free accommodation in the hotel 4-5 stars for 3 days stay and provide a transfer airport-hotel-exhibition complex.
