The fensterbau/frontale in Nuremberg is one of the world's leading trade fair for windows, doors and facades, their associated technologies, components and assemblies as well as associated equipment and services program.
 

The organizers for Fensterbau Frontale recently updated the industry on preparations for the upcoming 30th anniversary show, to be held March 21-24, 2018 at the Exhibition Centre, Nuremberg, Germany.

Together with the Holz-Handwerk exhibitors from many countries and numerous trade visitors are offering a unique industry platform.

On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 16. March to 19. March 2016, about 1296 exhibitors from 39 countries and 110,581 visitors (in combination with Holz-Handwerk) in 2016 on the fensterbau frontale in Nuremberg. Organizers report that around 95 percent of the stand areas have been reserved for 2018.

A new forum on current industry issues will be held at the show; topics will include “digitalization in the trades, building automation, safety and practical tips for trades people”. Experts will explore these and other topics in TED-style presentations over the course of the trade show. An adjacent Job Board will bring together employers and potential recruits.

Other new events include Windows & Doors 4.0, a show by NürnbergMesse and ift Rosenheim that will address simple planning, assembly and configuration of electronic components and the use of smart home technologies.

The Innovation Award for Architecture + Window Door Façade, awarded by the AIT and xia Intelligente Architektur magazines to Fensterbau Frontale exhibitors, will be presented during the show.

Windays Light, a series of seminars on ‘Innovations from Switzerland’, organized by the University of Applied Science in Bern and a number of Swiss industry associations, will be presented, as part of the Taste of Windays event series.
