It is predicted that the main products of building materials industry will continue to maintain growth in Sichuan Province recently.
Influenced by overcapacity and price slump in national glass industry, economic benefit of Sichuan flat glass continues to slip. It’s reported that total industrial output value of Sichuan flat glass industry is 3.311 billion RMB, which increased 22.74% compared with last year, Pre-tax profits is 0.169 billion RMB with a drop of 7.76% and the profit is .0112 billion RMB, which drops 19.33%.
Superintendent of Economic and Information Technology Committee analysis that economic benefit of some industries continues to decline due to overcapacity of cement and flat glass industry , which indicates contradiction lies in illogical construction of building material industry and problems of low industry concentration.
