The Fourth Committee Enlarged meeting of the Fifth Insulating Glass Professional committee was held in Weihai on Oct.26, 2010 attended by 26 leaders including Baiheng Zhang, secretary- general and Hui, Li, the deputy secretary-general from China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, Yanzheng Zhang, director, Chengde Huang, deputy director, Yongli from Insulating Glass Professional Committee, members of the committees and the specially invited represents.
The meeting makes a conclusion for the work this year especially for the material platform construction and the standard formulation which acted as a great role for the healthy development of the industry. Moreover, Baiheng Zhang secretary-general highly apprised the work of professional committee and introduced the present economic situation of the industry. He states that this is the best year of glass industry development with processed glass profit of RMB 6.8
Billion and flat glass profit of RMB 4.5 billion in the former 8 months, which shows that this is great development time for glass industry. However, there are also some problems existing including products quality problems, market rules problems and regulations following problems, etc. We need do well on industry self-dicipline work and enhance the constant industrial development. Yanzheng Zhang, director from professional committee made a general summary for the high-speed development of insulating glass industry and stated that the professional committee should be developmental and practical and work well on the formulation of the safety technological standard of processed glass production, and the industrial skills training, by the advantage of present condition.
All the attended members of committee discussed and concluded the accomplishment and defects of the committee work, confirm the next work plan with the formulation of safety technological standard of processed glass production as the key task. Namely, it is needed to take the advantage of material platform, ensure the material quality of material platform, accelerate the base construction of industrial training, cultivate a group of managing and technological talents as soon as possible, work well on industrial self-discipline work, regulate the market competive rules and make the members group much more stronger.
