Sponsored by China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association and supported by Zhejiang Liniz Fine Chemical Co., Ltd., the second discussion on Standard of Industrial Hygiene and Safety Technology Regulations for Processed Glass was successfully held in Urumqi on Jun.21st, 2011 with attendees including leaders Baiheng Zhang, secretary-general, Zhiwu Zhou, executive vice secretary-general and Hui Li, deputy secretary-general from China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, and 25 experts in glass industry and representors from all the main processed glass enterprises, testing institutes and glass mating material manufacturers.
Xiaochang Ding, the deputy director from insulating glass professional committee secretariat of China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association first introduced all the participating leaders and representatives. Secretary-general, Baiheng Zhang, Made an important speech for the overall situation of glass industry in the first half year and the trend of development in the second half year and emphasized on processed products manufacturing, products technology content and added value improvement, industrial chain extension, new materials, new products development and enhancing the adjustment, optimization and upgrading of industrial structure. What is more, it is also important to develop regenerated energy for cost reduction.
Baiheng Zhang Stated that safety production is not only a problem for enterprises, but also a social problem. To some extent, safety equals benefit.
Last but not least, all the experts at this conference has discussed this standard word by word and confirmed the formulation procedure. At the end of the meeting, Hui Li, deputy secretary-general arranged the next work and after the meeting, the drafter revised the standard according to the advice of all the experts.
